For manufacturers and exporters

We buy complete residential solar kits for Togo.

AFRO-ENERGY is the solar brand of KATALUXE SARL U, a Togolese company registered in Lomé, in the port zone. We import complete kits from the factory, sell them to households and landlords in Togo and to the Togolese diaspora, and install them through certified local partners. This page tells you exactly what we buy, what we require and how to reach us, so that a first email is worth writing.

Who you are dealing with

A registered Togolese buyer, not an intermediary

KATALUXE SARL U

RCCM TG-LFW-01-2025-B13-01323, NIF 1002042323, port zone, Lomé, Togo. AFRO-ENERGY is our retail brand. We import in our own name and clear customs in our own name.

We sell to end customers

Households across Togo, landlords, small businesses, and Togolese families abroad who equip the family house. We are the last link, not a trading company reselling your quotation.

Everything in writing

All supplier business is handled by email at [email protected]. We do not hold commercial discussions by phone, video call or messaging app, and we do not sign anything before a factory visit.

Lomé is a hub, not a dead end

The Port of Lomé is the leading container hub of West Africa and serves Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger. A supplier who works with us is one step from that corridor.

What we buy

Five kits, one voltage: 48 V

Our range is sized for a climate where every bedroom has an air conditioner. The whole range runs at 48 V so that one battery model, one spare-parts kit and one installer training serve everything.

S — one bedroom6 kW hybrid, 48 V5.12 kWh LiFePO44 × 550 W
M — two bedrooms6 kW hybrid, 48 V10.24 kWh8 × 550 W
L — three bedrooms6 kW hybrid, 48 V15.36 kWh12 × 550 W
XL — four bedrooms10 kW hybrid, 48 V20.48 kWh15 × 550 W
XXL — six bedrooms or small business2 × 6.5 kW in parallel, 48 V30.72 kWh24 × 550 W

Modules 550 to 660 W, N-type TOPCon preferred. Hybrid inverters 230 V / 50 Hz, MPPT, grid and generator input, parallel capability on the 6.5 kW rating. Batteries wall-mounted or rack LiFePO4, CAN and RS485. We also buy mounting structure and cabling, priced item by item, and we are opening a second line of portable power stations of 0.5 to 2 kWh.

Volumes and calendar

A pilot batch first, then one to two containers a year

Pilot batch

Capped at USD 20,000 FOB, everything included — typically ten kits mixed across the two smallest sizes. It exists to prove the product with real customers in Togo.

Then the container

One to two 40' HQ containers a year, growing. For modules alone that is 720 to 1,200 pieces, roughly 0.4 to 0.7 MW.

Selection, October 2027

We are comparing quotations now and we conclude at the Canton Fair, phase 1, in October 2027, followed by a visit to the factory of the supplier we retain.

First order after that

No sample, no deposit and no exclusivity is agreed before the factory visit. A quotation sent today is compared, recorded and refreshed quarterly until then.

Our floor

What an offer must contain to be comparable

These are not negotiating points. An offer that is missing them cannot be placed against the others, and we will ask you for them anyway.

A real factory

Business licence, factory address, and a live video tour or an on-site visit. We check. A trading company presented as a manufacturer adds 10 to 30 % for nothing.

Certificates for the batch

IEC 62619 and UN38.3 issued for the assembled battery packs, not for the cells alone. IEC 61215 and 61730 for modules. CE and IEC 62109 for inverters.

Ten years on the battery

Ten years written, or a priced extension to ten years. Tell us who handles a claim for a buyer in West Africa, and from where. Five years with no route to service is not an answer.

Cells named, batch fixed

Cell brand and date code, fixable in the order. Written confirmation that packs in one order come from a single production batch, and that same-batch stock can be held for twelve months.

Weights, cartons, pallets

Net and gross weight, carton dimensions, units per pallet. Without them no freight quotation to Lomé is comparable, and freight decides our selling price.

A price rule, not a promise

We know a twelve-month validity is not granted. Tell us what your price is indexed on, and reissue it quarterly. A MOQ that can be met on the total order rather than per model is a strong advantage.

Design — a knock-out criterion

The standard we expect is EcoFlow, Anker SOLIX or Sigenergy

Our kits sell for the equivalent of USD 2,600 to 15,000, and the equipment hangs in a corridor, a living room or a shop that people walk past every day. The customer photographs it, visitors look at it, and that photograph makes the next sale. So the reference is not the grey workshop box with exposed screws we are usually offered: it is the level of finish reached today by EcoFlow (PowerOcean, DELTA), Anker SOLIX (X1, Solarbank), Huawei LUNA2000, Sigenergy SigenStor, BYD, and Growatt on its recent series. Those products prove that a home battery can look like consumer electronics rather than a switchboard cabinet.

A monolith, not a box

One continuous shell, chamfered edges or soft radii, panels meeting without a step. No screw, rivet or hinge visible on the front face. Fixings go on the sides, at the back, or under a cover.

Material and colour

Warm white, graphite or anthracite, in a matte or micro-textured finish. No bare painted sheet metal that marks on first contact, no glossy plastic that holds fingerprints. An anodised aluminium frame is a visible plus.

One light, and a screen that is off

A thin LED bar or a single status dot, in neutral light. No blinking red and green diodes. If there is a display it must be black when off, under flush glass, not a recessed segment readout.

Vents and cables out of sight

Vents underneath or at the back, never on the front. Cable entries at the bottom, glands supplied, a cover over the terminals, a rear channel provided. An installation whose wiring shows is an installation the customer complains about.

Stackable, aligned, flat to the wall

Modules that stack on a shared plinth, aligned seams, the same width from one capacity to the next — the LUNA2000 or SigenStor principle. Depth at the wall 200 mm or less, bracket supplied, no feet or trolley on a domestic model.

A pair, and silence

The inverter and the battery are seen together: same colour, same finish, aligned widths. Give us the noise level in decibels at one metre, at half load — a whining fan is a knock-out in a bedroom corridor.

What we expect in your reply: real photographs of the unit in production today — front, side, and at least one mounted on a wall — a dimensioned drawing, the colour available and the noise level. If your current enclosure does not reach this standard, say so plainly and price tier 3 below: shell and colour in our identity, with the tooling cost and the minimum quantity. A clear answer is worth more to us than a flattering rendering.

Private label

We sell under our own brand, in three steps

Our customers buy AFRO-ENERGY. We are not asking you to change your product, we are asking what carries our name and at what quantity. Quote the three tiers separately.

Tier 1 — from the pilot batch

Our logo on the front of the enclosure, durable label or silk-screen, our logo on the shipping carton, and a neutral user manual. Your model number and your certificates stay untouched. We supply the artwork.

Tier 2 — from the first container

Silk-screened branding, printed colour box, and the user manual in French, which is the language of our market.

Tier 3 — later, if volume justifies it

Enclosure colour, start-up screen and packaging fully in our identity. Tell us the minimum quantity and the tooling cost, so we know what we are working towards.

What we need from you

The minimum quantity and the surcharge for each tier, in writing, and confirmation that private labelling does not void the certificates or the warranty.

How to reach us

One email, six attachments, and we answer

Write to [email protected] in English or French. Include these and your offer goes straight into our comparison grid.

  1. Your FOB price, stating the port of loading, and your MOQ per model and on the total order.
  2. Your business licence and the factory address.
  3. The certificates listed above, issued for the models quoted.
  4. The written warranty, in years and in cycles, and how a claim is handled from West Africa.
  5. Net and gross weight, carton dimensions and units per pallet.
  6. Real photographs of the current production unit, front, side and installed.

We do not hold commercial discussions by telephone or messaging app, we do not send our purchase volumes before receiving a price, and we accept banking details only from a company domain, confirmed against the business licence. Every quotation received is compared on the same grid and refreshed quarterly until the Canton Fair of October 2027.
